This is a new model from Kiwaya we decided to try. We weren’t planning on adding it to our online stock but after hearing it we knew it would join our lineup. It’s laminate koa and it sounds better than most solid wood sopranos! Actually, it’s got more volume than any Kiwaya soprano we’ve ever had!

The KS-5 looks great, feels wonderful and — most importantly — it sounds exceptional. This is a testament to the skill and value that these Japanese makers bring to the market. Even at this affordable price, it’s one of the best sounding sopranos in the shop. Period. And the light weight, custom feel of this instrument make it a joy to play.
